Full Details
Coral Ridge Isles is a small East Fort Lauderdale neighborhood and is one of the great neighborhoods I consider to be in the “West of US 1 Corridor” with Imperial Point, Coral Ridge Additon, Coral Heights and Mary Knoll being the others. Coral Ridge Isles is geographically located East of Dixie Highway and West of NE 18 Avenue, South of Cypress Creek Road and North of Commerical Boulevard. Home to approximately 10 “Fixed Bridge” canals that feed out to the Intracoastal Wateray and the Ocean, Coral Ridge Isles offers some of the most affordable waterfronts in the Fort Lauderdale Area. While tide clearance varies with the time of day, a “mid-tide” bridge height of 4.5’ allows the opportunity to have a pretty nice boat…it is sometimes stunning to see the quality of boat that owners manage to make work with the Fixed Bridges (there are 3 or 4 before your at the Intracoastal).
While it is the waterways that make Coral Ridge Isles unique, non-waterfronts or “drylots” make up atleast half the neighborhood. Homes range in size from smaller 2 bedrooms to larger 4 bedrooms with a mixture of carports and 1-2 car garages. It has always been my experience that many buyers look indiscriminately up and down the “West of US 1 Corridor” searching more for the right house at the right price on the right street (never forget about the street!!). A similar mix of families, singles, retirees, second homeowners, and adult couples without children, Coral Ridge Isles is a classic east Fort Lauderdale neighborhood that is a combination of suburban serenity with city conveniences.
