Why the two neighborhoods together you ask? These two small neighborhoods literally intertwine and it is even unknown to many longtime locals. Even many Realtors refer to these neighborhoods as the “Imperial Point area” and are unsure of the actual difference. These neighborhoods are located just to the South of Imperial Point-North of Commerical Boulevard and South of NE 56 Street and East of NE 18 Avenue and just to the West of Federal Highway (US 1). These two neighborhoods are part of what I like to refer to as the “West of US 1 Corridor” with Imperial Point, Coral Heights, and Coral Ridge Isles being the others.
A labyrinth of twists and turns and a limited amount of entry points might make your first time driving through these neighborhoods confusing…but that is more than made up for by the low traffic and quietness that are the end result. More often than not the car you see driving by is an owner coming and going as again these neighborhoods are very isolated and yet right in the middle of everything. Homes range in size from smaller two bedrooms to larger 3 & 4 bedrooms with 2 car garages common. Standard lot sizes are 75 x 100 but the curving streets have provided for the occasional oversized back yard. These are very charming neighborhoods that embody everything I love about East Fort Lauderdale living-a quite suburban feel that is minutes to “everything”-the beaches, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment that make city living fun and convenient.
