Full Details
Bermuda Riviera is a small neighborhood consisting mainly of waterfront homes (no Fixed Bridges!) with a handful of “drylots” mixed in. Located on the barrier island side of Fort Lauderdale, Bermuda Riviera is geographically located on the West side of A1A and is about 10 blocks North of Oakland Park Boulevard and 20 blocks South of Commercial Boulevard. Popular among beach lovers, Bermuda Riviera is one of the few neighborhoods in Fort Lauderdale that offers waterfront canals while being on the “beach” side of the Intracoastal Waterway.
Most waterfront buyers who look in Bermuda Riviera also look in the Bayview Drive area (Coral Ridge Country Club, Old Coral Ridge, and The Landings). Some buyers want to be on the west side of the Intracoastal (so as not to hit the bridges) while others can’t fathom anything better than living on the water AND being close to the beach. Bermuda Riviera offers some of the most affordable prices for deepwater, no fixed bridge waterfront homes in Fort Lauderdale. Standard lot sizes are 80’ wide x 100’ deep with many homes offering oversize lots. Home sizes range anywhere from “as built” 3BR/2BA / 2,500 square feet ranch homes to custom 2 story newer homes with 5,000 + square feet.
Access to the Ocean is almost equal distance between Port Everglades to the South and the Hillsboro Inlet to the North (most people would go Port Everglades). Bermuda Riviera is among the many fine NE Fort Lauderdale neighborhoods that are home to both locals and second homeowners alike. Popular for proximity to the best private schools, hospitals, and day to day shopping while offering a substantial “bang for the buck” when compared to the waterfront communities of SE Fort Lauderdale (Rio Vista, Harbor Beach, and Las Olas).
